It’s great to see that amongst all the alarming statistics that you guys have collated, there are some amongst us doing good and combating this problem.
Always good to have balanced reportage.
Kudos to FFTH! We need more such organisations & volunteers to help reduce the amount of food wastage in Singapore!
However, I can’t help but notice the large no. of plastic bags used in the process of carrying out this prog. Is it possible for FFTH to reduce its usage of plastic bags even while continuing & hopefully expending this prog? After all, both saving food & reducing plastic bag usage are ways that we can help save The Earth!

I guess food safety has high priority in Singapore, so in doing good work to save food, noone wants to get into trouble for food poisoning. That’s why disposable plastic bags and gloves are used.
I’m sure FFTH would appreciate any feasible suggestions that can help to reduce the use of plastic bags, save the earth, and money too!
